We’re on letter “F” for our ABCs of the Bible crafts, a great series of Bible School Craft Ideas.
Today, I wanted to share with you a simple craft that I did with one of the children from my ministry. This is a great fine motor craft that is low on mess and the end product is so versatile – you can use it to decorate in so many different ways!
This is our simple beaded F is for Fisher of Men craft.
The expression “Fishers of Men” is derived from the biblical account of when Jesus called out to his first disciples:
Materials Needed for F is for Fisher of Men Craft:
- Pipe cleaner
- beads or coloured pasta
Simply have your child string several beads or coloured pasta noodles onto a pipe cleaner, until the pipe cleaner is between 1/2 to 3/4 covered with beads. (I like to fold down the edges of the pipe cleaners if a young child is doing a pipe cleaner craft, just to prevent scratches, but make sure that the beads will still fit.)
Slide the beads into the center of the pipe cleaner and then bend the ends toward each other, crossing them where the beads end. Twist the pipe cleaner ends around each other to secure a fish shape and prevent beads from falling off.
If you liked this ABCs of the Bible craft idea – F is for Fisher of Men – be sure to pin it for later, or share it with your friends if you think they’d enjoy doing it with their children.
Our previous Bible School Craft Ideas for this series have included:
- A is for Angel (coffee filter craft)
- B is for Basket (weaving craft)
- C is for Cross (paper scrolling craft)
- D is for David’s Harp (representational craft)
- E is for Elijah’s Fiery Chariot
